That spirit sits at the heart of our late summer retreat.

Casa de Cura is a beautifully curated space - minimalist, grounding, and intentionally designed to help you slow down completely. It’s the kind of place that invites exhale: quiet mornings, softer rhythms, space to really switch off.

Alongside daily yoga in the shala (framed by flowing silk curtains and open air), there will be optional creative practices woven throughout the week - pottery throwing, guided journalling, and plenty of time to relax.

This retreat is for anyone feeling overstretched by the pace of life. For those who have perhaps drifted away from their creativity, their stillness.

About Casa De Cura

Situated less than an hour from where I now live, in the rolling hills of Monchique — Casa de Cura is the ultimate place to switch off.

This beautiful home is designed with the most thoughtful, minimalist style. Even just walking around it, I immediately felt a sense of calm wash over my body. Not to mention the shala…

Meet Your Hosts

Christie Knight & Andy Frantzeskos

My partner Andy and I met years ago living in Australia working in the world of hospitality. We immediately clicked through our shared love of the same passions: food, deep conversation, and connection. We’ve been on a journey the last 7 years of sharing these passions with the world and retreats brings everything we love together.

For the last few years, Andy has been Head Chef at ROVI - one of Ottolenghi’s flagship restaurants in Fitzrovia. Working with seasonal produce, Andy’s food is all about big flavours.

The shared table at Casa de Cura is such a central part of the whole space, and we already can’t wait to feast under the vines with you.

Each of the bedrooms at Casa de Cura is beautifully designed — the decor makes you feel immediately at peace. All rooms have their own bathroom, and there’s a choice of private or shared.

Private King Bedroom

Effortlessly chique, thoughtfully designed king size bedrooms with en-suite bathroom.

You’ll have full privacy as each room is quietly tucked away in it’s own little nook of the property.

Perfect for those craving a lil more space.

Can be taken for 1 or 2 people.

Shared Twin Room

The beds will be 2 large singles, each of these shared rooms of 2 also comprises of it’s own en-suite bathroom.

Ideal for travellers who don’t mind sharing with one other guest.

Shared Room of 3

There is one shared room of 3 comfortable single beds at Casa de Cura, each bed draped in white silky curtains for a little privacy.

This room has it’s own private bathroom, just outside of the entrance to the bedroom.

Ideal for those comfortable with sharing a space.

My time at the retreat in Portugal was truly life-changing. Christie is an incredibly inspiring yoga teacher — so knowledgeable, kind, and endlessly patient. She created such a supportive and welcoming environment, and I learned so much from her during the retreat. Flights to Faro are usually around £100 return on these dates.

Options for transport on the Portugal side: we can assist in arranging group cars to collect you from Faro airport, which is a 1 hour drive to the venue. Otherwise, you are welcome to rent a car from the airport which is usually extremely cheap!
